Scope and Contents
This collection consists entirely of one photograph album from the memorial lunch held for Dr. Mable Walter on May 16, 1991. Along with color photographs the album also includes paper invitations and correspondence.

Administrative History
Mable Walter was an instructor in Biology, Zoology, and Psychology at Hagerstown Community College from 1952-1974. She was also the science division chairman and the first Faculty Senate Chairman. When Dr. Walter first joined HJC she was the only Ph.D. in Washington County. She played a key role in the development of the Arboretum on campus, which was named after her in 1972. Even after Dr. Walter retired from HJC she still stayed on as the director of the Arboretum for many years. In memory of Dr. Walter, a memorial lunch was held on May 16, 1991.
